Question

This is quite weird. We have subscriptions set up - about hundreds of them for a particular report. However, everytime subscriptions run, we set an error >>

The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. Retry # 0 out of 3

When it re-subscribes automatically, the files are posted properly.

I am using SSRS 2008 R2.

Hi wondering_around,

Based on my research, the issue may occur when we use Forms-based authentication. Are you using a custom security extension? If so, it seems that the authentication cookie is not sent properly on the first request. For the overview of the custom security extension, please see:

Besides, if the CU3 for SQL Server 2008 R2 has not been installed, I suggest that you install it. There is a fix in CU3 that impacts Forms-based authentication:
FIX: Forms-based authentication does not work in SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services
