Hi ,
i developed 10 reports in SSRS 2008 R2 which are running fine with http URL , but for security and more comfort ability i changed report url from http to https.
after changing http to https , it is asking username and password when i click on https URL. if i have given username and password then it is working fine if i am not passing user name then it is showing https 404 unauthorize request .....
ex for https url: https://sitedesign.demford.com/reportserver. if i click on this URL it is asking username and password.
so how to avoid this issue (asking username and password). it is very urgent.
thanks in advance.

Hi,
Did you try changing the browser intranet property to detect the local network?
Browser --> options - intranet - automatically detect intranet network
Cheers

Hi Franklinsentil,
The issue may occur due to the security settings of the Internet Explorer. Please add the https://sitedesign.demford.com to the trusted sites of the IE, and then run the IE as administrator.
If it doesn’t work, please try the following steps:
- Launch IE, click Tools -> Internet options.
- Click the Security tab, click Local intranet, and then click Custom level…
- In the settings dialog box, find the User Authentication – Logon item, and select Automatic logon with current user name and password.
Hope this helps.
