We have SQLserver2005-SSRS, looking for an tool similiar to report builder (here user can drag and drop columns on to  design area and can run the reports)  are there any tools/interface in SSRS ??where user can type in queries manually (ex: select emplid from empltable) and generate reports, these should be hosted on web environement where user logsin to a URL , type queries and generate gridbased reports.

    Cheers!!

    Hi rajraj1,

As far as I know, there does not have a tool that allows users to type queries manually on web.

By default, Report Builder 2.0 allows users to type queries, to design report by themself. But Report Builder 2.0 is available for SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 or later. And Report Builder 2.0 is also a client's application.
