I use SQL Server 2008 R2.
Last week, we updated SQL version - we installed CU5 (current SQL Version: 10.50.4276.0).
Today I tried to deploy some reports using BIDS - unfortunately, error occured:
The permissions granted to user are insufficient for performing this operation.
I check whether I have permission to folder or not - using web browser I can deploy files without any problems.
Is there anything needed to do with Visual Studio to works with CU5?

I have tested it on the local environment, if I have no the permission to deploy report to the report server, then the “Upload file” button is invisible to me in the Report Manger. So in your scenario, you can upload file in Report Manager, but cannot deploy report using SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS), this is very strange. Please ensure that the deployment properties have been set correct, you can check it reference the link below.
Set Deployment Properties (Reporting Services)
Besides, the only requirement for this cumulative update package is you must running SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2. For more information about this CU, please:

Hope this helps.
