Migration of MDS 2008 r2 to MDS 2012 Sp1

Question

Hi All

We want to migrate our existing master data services solution to the new version of MDS 2012. This is of course easier said than done.

We have a running production system with 40k+ customers. This customer entity would be nice to migrate with the correct Enter dates, changed Dates and all, so our reporting does not change. Is that possible, and how?

Is there any best practices/whitepapers or anything i can refer to?

Hi

to anyone interested... the solution is to clone the database to the new server (i.e. backup /restore) and go to mds conf. manager and click upgrade...very nice and it worked!.
