Changing the display format for Constrained values

Hi,

In excel, I created entity with constrained data type. When I try to select the values, the field dropdown shows the value in format of Code {Name}. I want to show only Name alone. How can I do this?

Hi,

I don't think you can do this out-of-the-box, neither with Excel nor with the MDS website. Interestingly, with the MDS website you have one of 3 options for this - Code, Code {Name} and Name {Code} - but not just Name. I suspect this is something to do with the fact that codes are unique and names are not, which is a very subtle but important difference.

Thanks. I think this would be nice feature to have in excel add-in since we do some vlookup to pull the required data. We have workarounds now. But it is consuming lot of time.
