Unable to see models from Web Portal or Excel Add-in

Question

Our client has a fresh install of MDS for SQL 2012.  The install seems correct as far as configuration.  However, when we use the MDSDeploy.exe tool to deploy custom models and even the Microsoft sample models we are unable to see the models from the web portal or from Excel.  We do however know that the models deployed successfully as we see the views and data when we look at the MDS database on the sql database engine.  It seems like there is a security configuration issue somewhere.  Looking for some guidance on how to fix this issue.  One thing we just noticed today is that we can't even see the built-in metadata model which should be visible before any custom models are deployed.  Need some ideas on what to look at or fix.

Nevermind.  We didn't give security access to the models.  Forgot those had to be granted explicitly.  This question is resolved.
