    Hello experts,

validate a version in MDS 2012 fails and immediately ends with "unknown error". No further information is available so far.

As a consequence, the version can not be commited. What can we do so far to verify and eliminate this error.

Thanks for any help and best regards, Daniel

Do you have update access to all of the entities in your model?

The problem is found and solved manually.

Validating a version starts a batch job under SQL service account. After granting "process-rights" to that service account, the batch job is started without any error. It is still open if granting process rights to the service account had been forgotten during installation of MDS 2012 or if this is missing in installation scripts.

The problem for me is so far solved. Bg, Daniel
