MDS

Question

Hi all,
I think this may be a basic question.But still i'm not clear about this..
If i'm using Master Data Services(MDS) for master data storage,In transaction database how i able to give relationship between transaction table and master data .
so i need to have master data in Transaction DB also am i right?
correct me if i'm wrong.

Hi rahul43210,

Master Data Services requires a database to support the Master Data Manager Web application and Web services. The computer that hosts the Master Data Services database must run an instance of SQL Server Database Engine. For more information, please refer to the following article:
