    Dear Folks,

how can I set an attribute to keep its history in form of old values and its valid time ranges. i am thinking about SCD 2 historization in order to keep the old values of an attribute. the only information concerning historization which I found was about versioning the whole master data, but this seems not to be what I want.

    Thanks and best regards,

    Martin

EDIT: To be more precisely: of course i know that within the data explorer i can see the transaction history. how can a access it via subscription view or webservice?

    Onkel,

Unfortunately, I do not believe you can do, easily, what you are trying to.   Master Data Services is not going to replace the traditional data warehouse functionality, such as the implementation of slowly changing dimensions.  My recommendation would be to handle the SCD's outside of MDS (in either a data warehouse or ODS), and only feed the current version of data into MDS.

    Hope this helps.
