    Hi Derek,

There are no build-in feature supporting map features in the product with the 2012 release,

We have submit this feedback to the product connect group site

    1. I'm currently using "Microsoft Map Point" to do push-pin style reporting but it works only in US though

    2. I'm not sure if they have an API, I'm currently doing it manually for my reports

In case you are still interested, with the release of SQL 2012 SP1 CTP3  and SharePoint 2013 (so it's still a beta) you can have geo maps in Power View.

You may use Tableau. MSFT is lagging behind here.
