Hi All,
I got single connection using SQL and built many reports from that connection with Spec. Once while doing a research I came across saying that you need spilt data, such as A parent file pulling all data from SQL set up refresh, on each individual report connect to the Parent file and set-up the connection and refresh.
Do you have any suggestion or what is best way to do it and how?
Thnak you in Advance

Hi erkindunya,
Do you want to create report based on different subset of the data rather than the whole data? If so I would recommend you utilize the perspective in the PowerPivot 2.0, Perspectives are metadata layers that track different slices or sets of data. Perspectives are typically defined for a particular user group or business scenario and make it easier to navigate large data sets. For more information, see Perspectives in PowerPivot and Perspectives Dialog Box.
If I misunderstand you, please feel free to let us know.

Hi Challen Fu,
I attached a image click here. I don't think perspective will help. I saw someone used a master PowerPivot and connected that master PowerPivot created many reports with it.
I found the missing link : http://www.powerpivotpro.com/2011/02/powerpivot-scheduled-refresh-pt-3-thin-workbooks/
Thank you very much.

Hi erkindunya,
Besides the link you gave, actually, you can design different report in the different sheet in the PowerPivot workbook based on one Core PowerPivot datasoruce. After designing, you can upload or deploy the different reports to the SharePoint. You can also design different PowerPivot workbook with different report using the same PowerPivot datasource. Then name different workbook with different name, lastly upload different workbook to the SharePoint.
Thanks,
