Unable to process the request when trying to open the powerpivot model.

Question

Hi All,

I have developed an excel powerpivot model and deployed it to powerpivot gallery in sharepoint. When I click on the deployed model, I am getting this error: "Unable to process the request. Hi Nitesh,

The error "Unable to process the request. Wait a few minutes and try performing this operation again" is generally caused by an internal exception.

As mentioned in the thread you posted, could you please post the ULS log? This will help us to analysis the issue.

WE are having the same problem, it has worked good for a month but we get this error. It has not helped to restart Sharepoint. The ULS is to big to post here, I have tried to filter by Area = Excel Calculation service and SSAS Midtier for the relevant time but its to big to post. A snapshot:

3. The LoadBalancer create a new session for the process: at Microsoft.Office.Excel.Server.CalculationServer.Proxy.LoadBalancer.ExecuteNewSessionMethod
4. However, it fail, and caused the error: at Microsoft.Office.Excel.Server.MossHost.ExcelServerWebServiceApplication.get_Local(). So, please try to restard the Excel Service Balance service to check if the issue is solved.
Or, if possible, please stop the Balance Service. Please note, this may cause some other Excel Service performance issue.
