    Hi,

I am trying to see if I can create an empty powerpivot webpart in Sharepoint Dashboard that users can click and start Powerpivot from the page itself and do analysis using the existing datasource. Is it possible? I want the capability to work as an ad-hoc tool.

    Thank you.

    Hi YPandey,

I'm not so sure if I understand what you are trying to accomplish. The PowerPivot Dashboard is for the ITPro user (administrators), and not for the end users. Also, you cannot edit a PowerPivot workbook in the browser. You can, though, do the analysis, slice and dice whatever was created in the Excel desktop client with PowerPivot for Excel add-in and upload it to a PowerPivot enabled SharePoint library.

    Can you give more details?

    Best,

    Mariano
