I uploaded an Excel workbook to the PowerPivot gallery but the data connection I had created isn't refreshing.  Have I set this up incorrectly?

    Thanks!

    Hi usischeng,

It's likely that something is not propely set up. Can you tell us more about your SharePoint far and PowerPivot for SharePoint configuration as well as what kind of workbook you're are working with (such as what data source(s) you are you using)? This information might help us see what's going on.

    Thanks,

    Mariano

    Hi usischeng,

Do you have refresh on open property set on the workbook? You can check it by opening the workbook with Excel client and go to Data menu and click on "Connections". Under Workbook Connections window click on the Properties button and under Usage tab please make sure that you have "Refresh data when opening the file" checkbox checked. This will allow your workbook to refresh data every time you open it in the browser, the other option is to set Data Refresh on the workbook in the PowerPivot gallery on a schedule basis.

    Hope it helps,

    Ankur
