    Hi,

When importing from SQL SErver 2005 to PowerPivot version 11.0.2100.60 (64 bit) I get the following errormess "

OLE DB or ODBC error: Requested conversion is not supported..

The current operation was cancelled because another operation in the transaction failed.

Out of line object 'DataSource', referring to ID(s) 'dcd89c8d-af69-487d-a0c9-f693cf0eb653', has been specified but has not been used.

Out of line object 'DataSourceView', referring to ID(s) 'Temp_DSV', has been specified but has not been used."

There is a Timestamp field in the Facttable but no data in it.

After deleting the timestamp field from the Facttable the import is working. Sound like a bug?!

    Hi Larra,

Actually, you can click the button of Preview&Filter, then unselect the timestamp field. Then the timestamp field will not show in the PowerPivot.

    Hi Challen Fu,

    I know about this.

But the question is if timestamp is supported by PowerPivot or is it a bug?

    Larra,

Timestamp doesnt look like supported by PowerPivot. The data types supported are:
