Importing Access Tables and Queries

Question

I have an Access database that I am trying to import into PowerPivot/Excel.  What I am finding strange is that not all tables or queries show up on the import list...  I have tried writing a query within the import... such as select * from... and it says that it can't see the table or query.. Yet, they work fine in access.

Hi,

As per my knowledge with Powerpivot, i think we can't see any linked tables and queries in the powerpivot. You can see only those tables which are of the same access. And we when we write a query as Insert to the particular table, then i think we can view those tables.

Hello,

There must be some other limitations as I moved the queries into the same database as my access db and then created queries..  some of them are union queries so I wonder if that is the problem...
