I'v just downloaded Powerpivot Denali CTP3, and it doesn't work !
- Windows 7 64 bits + all updates
- EXCEL 2010 64 bits
- Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (x64)
After uninstall of previous version of Powerpivot (works without problem) + installation of Powerpivot Denali CTP3 + reboot, I have no "Powerpivot" menu in EXCEL 2010. (I could see Powerpivot in the Files / Options / Addins list).

I was able to install PP for Excel by
1) Installing .NET Framework 4 (I didn't try with 3.5 SP1)
2) Turn off Antivirus

I have "Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile" (4.0.30319).
With no antivirus, it's the same problem !
Same problem on a laptop with Windows 7 32 bits, EXCEL 2010 32 bits and Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime 32 bits -

I think you need full .NET 4 (you should see "Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile" and "Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended"), not just the client profile.- Proposed As Answer by Arul SanthanamMicrosoft Employee Wednesday, July 13, 2011 9:08 PM

It was not a problem of antivirus. You must have EXCEL 2010 SP1.- Proposed As Answer by Robert Stamsnijder Friday, July 15, 2011 7:06 AM
