Powerpivot Slicer and Filter Issue - values with quotation marks

Question

I have created a slicer for my powerpivot pivottable. Some of the values in that slicer contain double quotation marks - e.g. Steel 50". I noticed that when I try to select any of these values with double quotes, nothing happens. So I changed it to a filter, but that didn't work either. When I published this workbook, I get an error - An error occurred while attempting to perform this operation. Reload the workbook, and then try to perform this oepration again.

The error message wasn't helpful at all. How do I get this to work?

What are my options: Do I need to use escape character or maybe replace double quotes with word INCH?
