Meaning of the console tab of dtexecgui

Question

What is the meaning of the console tab which you get when using dtexecgui (the same utility used when you run a package manually from MSDB store)? I can activate or deactivate all sorts of events but I do not see a difference in the progress tab when running the package. For instance when I click error events I would expect only errors to be seen.

Hi giovi2012,

The Execute Package Utility is a graphical user interface for the DTExec command prompt tool. The user interface makes it easy to configure options and it automatically assembles the command line that is passed to the DTExec command prompt tool when you run the package from the specified options.
