Hi, I see this was asked a while ago, so I want to ask the question again as there was no answer.

I am running SQL 2005 (9.00.1406.00) and Server 2003 SP2.  I do not have the ability to select "Include first-level subfolders".  It is a maintance clean up task and I am running it locally on the box running SQL.

    Any ideas?

Rich is correct, this should be fixed with SP2. Please make sure that you have updated SSMS in addition to the engine with the correct service pack. What is your version of SSMS (Help->About)?

I've read somewhere that this was an issue before SP1. Try patching your SQL Server to the latest Service Pack and perhaps any remote tools that are used to connect to the server.

    SSMS version 9.00.1399.0.

I think that may be it.  Not sure if I can upgrade the SP at this time.

You don't have to run any Service Pack updates on the database engine, but 9.00.1399.0 is not SP2 of SSMS. I would run the Service Pack again and only update SQL Server Management Studio, this will solve your problem.

    Hi,

You need to apply Service Pack 1 (the build:9.00.2047) at least.
