I've downloaded SQL Server 2008 R2 from this link:

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30437

and I've run the executable and opened SQL Server Installation Center. When I click "New Installation or add features to an existing installation", I'm prompted to Browse for SQL Server 2008 R2 Installation Media. But all I have is the file called SQLServer2008R2SP2-KB2630458-x64-ENU.exe, which I got from the download. Am I missing something?

    thanks

This is service pack which contains fixes for already installed SQL server instance

to download SQL 2008 R2 server enterprise evaluation edition check-out

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8158

This is valid for six months

to get other editions (Enterprise, Standard,Developer)

you need to either buy the DVD or have MSDN subscription
