AnswerDBA and Data mining ?

    Hi There

    I am confused regrading my carrer propests in the UK  am doing a  MSC in database & Web-based System which great " living it" but i have given an offer to do some reseaches  in database system  and i need to decide which part of database system ,so come to two thing either data mining or database security(DBA).but i do not know which is the best ?can you please help me and give my your views on this,what is the best to be DBA or mining data? thanks for reading my question

    Difficult to say really.

    Personally, I'd choose which ever topic excited me the most.  If, for example, you decide to do your research on Data Mining and you found the subject boring, then you'll likely lose your passion for the research.

    You also mention the database security as DBA.  A DBA does much more than just manage security on the database servers.  There are a number of different areas a DBA will cover - some they will specialise in and some they will have sufficient knowledge to get them through.
