Error Code 42D9 (KB 955706)
- The windows update shows inportant update as Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 3 (KB 955706). when i try to update it gives me error code 42D9.
My laptop is Sony VIOA VGN-CR34GN with Windows Vista Business updated to Service Pack 2. CPU C2D T5270(1.40 GHz) RAM 4GB HDD 160.
Please advice as windows help also needs help and is completely useless.

Please make sure that you have Vista service pack 1 installed.
Reinstall the Vista readiness tool. Don't download this unless you have Vista SP1 installed.
