    Check the Setup Bootstrap folder in c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90 folder for the summary.txt file which will have more information about the failure.  It could be that the other product installed the SQL Express Instance that it is trying to install, or that you have the wrong build packages for the machine type you are installing to.  What does your vendor say about this problem since it is being done packaged with their installer?

    Hi,

    I don't have these file on my laptop. Because the software was abort by microsoft during installation.
    I only hva following directories...90/EULA...90/SDK...90Shared with some subdirectories.
    I think the problem will be that i am working on a 64 bit laptop???? Even in virtual XP mode the soft will not finisch installation.

    Ideas?
