SQL Native Client ODBC encryption documentation

Hello,

 

I'm wondering where I can find documentation on the encryption methodology for the sql server native odbc client.  Specifically the 'use strong encryption for data' check box option.  I need to verify with my security admin that it meets our requirements.

Hi, thanks for the response, unfortunately I don't believe that is what I'm looking for.  I'm looking for documentation or an explanation of the encryption methodology used in the SQL Server Native client ODBC driver.  We're looking to encrypt data sent to sql server instead of queried from SQL Server.  The article appears to be explaining how to encrypt data coming out of SQL Server as opposed to going into sql server
