Incorrect BOL Entry

Hello,
In BOL under SQL Server 2012, CURRENT_USER points to the CREATE SYNONYM page. It displays the correct page if changing to a different version.
Source: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms176050.aspx
If using 2012 as the version you are directed to CREATE SYNONYM instead of CURRENT_USER.

Hi,
You are right , but CREATE SYNONYM is pointing towards the good link.
As i know that there is always someone belonging to the SQL Server Documentation Team having a look at this forum, i think it will be repaired in some weeks. I believe that the documentation is updated each month. It is only a youth error, surely annoying but the documentation has not changed since 2000.
Have a nice day

Hi,
Your thread has been transmitted to the SQL Server Documentation Team. But the modifications to the BOL are made monthly or once by quarter. So, i would suggest to wait for the modification patiently.
Have a nice day.

Papy,
Great, thank you! Is there somewhere else I should be submitting incorrect BOL entries (I couldn't find a place on connect for it)?

Hi,
This forum is the best place to post the report of possible errors in the SQL Server Documentation. Your 1st way ( thru Connect ) is also good , but maybe a little slower.
For your Connect, i might do a little remark : you have forgotten to provide the version and edition of your SQL Server. It is important for the Microsoft persons who have to test what you are thinking a bug ( maybe CSS SQL Server Enginers ) because it makes easier for them to reproduce a problem.
Your blog is interesting but i have not been able to post a comment.Bad luck for me.
Have a nice day
PS : i am not working for Microsoft

Papy,
Much appreciated, thank you. I haven't really had any time to work on it lately, but I hope to add more soon. The verison was 2012 as it was the first to support sequences, and actually a few weeks ago (I didn't updaet it yet) it was a confirmed bug as the error message was incorrect. It turns out it doesn't resize the cache.
Thank you for the information!

Hello,
I think that it is possible to display the page related to CURRENT_USER http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms176050.aspx
I tried in the left part of the display
SQL Server
SQL Server 2012
Product documentation
Bools On Line for SQL Server 2012
Database engine
Transact-SQL
Built-in functions (Transact-SQL)
Security functions (Transact-SQL)
Current_user (Tansact-SQL ) on which i double-click http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms176050.aspx and that's working
It seems that the BOL has been repaired by the SQL Server Documentation Team. Thanks you for the person who has done this repair ( a new record in less than 24 hours whow...)
Have a nice day
