We have a Asynchronous Mirroring in SQL SERVER 2008 R2. What is the criteria that causes switching between synchronizing and synchronized states in database mirroring? Is there any specific threshold in unsent queue, that if we pass it ,the state
will change from synchronized to synchronizing .I read in one blog that threshold is 1MB?Is it possible to change this threshold?
Synchronizing : The contents of the mirror database are lagging behind the contents of the principal database. The principal server instance is sending log records to the mirror server instance, which is applying the changes to the mirror database to roll
it forward. At the start of a database mirroring session, the mirror and principal databases are in the synchronizing state
Synchronized : The mirror database contains the same data as the principal database. Manual and automatic failover are possible only in the synchronized state
I dont think that there is any option of changing the threshold !
