After adding new 3rd node in win 2008 R2 cluster my sql 2005 service are failing and not moving to node 2 and node 1

Hi,

I have 3 Node cluster on Win 2008 R2 and Sql server 2005 SP3

Recently I added 3rd Node in cluster and install sql 2005 after that every thing was running fine

but while doing fail-over/swing over to node1 or Node2 my sql service is getting failed and showing below error

"Generic service 'SQL Server Fulltext (BACKUPDB1)' could not be brought online (with error '1060') during an attempt to open the service.  Possible causes include: the service is either not installed or the specified service name is invalid."

I have checked every possible option but could not find any thing,  could you please guide me where i am missing 

or how can i rectify this problem , i will be very thank full to you.

I trust that when you added the third node you also did add the FullText Search Service to that node? And I trust that this service also had been installed on on the other two nodes? (Keep in mind that this is an extra installation checkbox under the Database Engine...)

I know, the question is stupid, but I have to ask... The error message is pretty strong into this direction...

After installing SQL server SP3 on my new node  my problem got resolved.

Dear All,

 I am getting error while moving my SQL full test search service to new node3, I tried on GOOGLE  they recommend to install SP3 after that it will resolve, I have installed SP 3 In all of my nodes ,  but in my case I am still getting same error message.

Please assist me , I will be thank full to you.

Win= 2008 R2

SQL Version = Sql Server 2005

SP = SP3

Error Message  = “Generic service SQL Server Full text could not be brought online with error 1075 during an attempt to start the service.  Possible cause: the specified service parameters might be invalid.”
