Can't update a recursive hierarchy with staging

Hi,

I'm trying to update the parent code within a recursive hierarchy via SSIS staging, but the updates just get ignored. I've reviewed the thread here - http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlmds/thread/3e24f729-3d04-4d58-947c-6d715317e215 about spaces in field names and duplicate field names but that doesn't help.

After processing the batch, records that should have been updated have a validation status of '?', but no change to the hierarchy is made.

Any help?
