Locked SSIS Denali - Script task/component editor not showing

    Hello experts,

I was just exploring Denali CTP3. Liked the feature to select the variables in Script task. However when I click on Edit Script task another window opens but the Script Editor window is missing. I see all the other options available in normal SSIS window except the central panel. Has any one faced this? Any ideas?

Mine works just fine with VB.NET and with C#.  Do you have VS2010 installed?  I do so that might be the reason mine works.  I do not have an instance without VS2010 installed so I could not test that situation.

Did not work even after installing VS 2010. Could this be because I have 2008 as well on the same box?

Might be.  I am running the CTP3 on an isolated test system on a VMware VM and do not have 2008 installed.  I have Server 2008 R2, CTP3, VS2010, and Office 2010 installed and the script editor pulls up the VS2010 install for either VB.NET 2010 or C#.NET 2010.

Same issue here.  I installed CTP3 on a clean (virtual) environment running Windows Server 2008 R2.

    Anyone found a solution yet?

The image is not coming up Sudeep.

Did you launch the BIDS as an Admin?

To remedy you need to reset your dev environment with devenv /resetsettings command.

    Hi Arthru,

I tried your suggestion to launch BIDS as an admin and did not work. I could not try the other one as I removed denali from my system and used it on VM. I cannot replicate the issue and some how the link is broken that I provided. In case I come across it again will try it out. Thanks man.

You need to re-install it at this point.
