can you explain domain values vs term based relations with example. I tried doing standardization using term based realtions and also using domain values. so I tried converting usa to United States and Us to united states via domain values. And also tried that via term based relations. so I was thinking what is the exact differnece and there is some overlap, am i right? or am i doing it wrong with my US example. please share your thoughts on this question.....

Domain values enable you to correct the “entire” value in a domain, whereas Term-based Relations (TBR) enable you to just change a term “within” a value in a domain.
For example, consider I have two domains: CompanyName and Country with the following values.
CompanyName
Country
ABC Corp.
Great Britain
LMN Inc.
United State of America
XYZ Ltd.
United States of America
In the CompanyName domain, I want all the instances of Corp., Inc. and Ltd. to be corrected to Corporation, Incorporated, and Limited respectively. Please note that here I just want to change a term that is part of the value in the CompanyName domain, and not the entire value. So, I would use TBRs for the CompanyName domain:When you run the cleansing in DQS, it will display the TBRs as suggestions with the reason set as TBR. Please note that in this case, the first term in the company names are not changed:
However, in the Country domain, I want the entire value to be corrected to some other value, and therefore would use the Correct To option in the Domain Values tab for the Country domain. For example, correct Great Britain to United Kingdom or correct United States of America to United States.
Hope that helps.
