DQS - Create Knowledge base from / Select data file

Question

Hi

I am a new user on DQS and when I try to select the option Import from DQS file from Create Knowledge Base - I cannot locate the excel worksheet (xls) as the only file types available is (DQS Data Files (*.dqs).

What am I doing incorrectly??

Hello,

Are you trying to import values from an Excel file into a knowledge base? If yes, then you should create a knowledge base by selecting None for Create knowledge base from list, and select the Knowledge Discovery activity. Step-by-step information available here: Import Domains from an Excel File.

You select Import from DQS File option when you have already exported a knowledge base to a .dqs file, and want to create a new knowledge base based on the exported knowledge base. Step-by-step information available here: Import a Knowledge Base from a .dqs File.
