    if we can configure Database mirroring in different versions can you give clear picture which version to which version?

    It is recommended that both servers (Principal and Mirroring) have the same version/edition. People consider mirroring ss2005 to ss2008 in case of upgrading (one way ticket) as you cannot downgrade from ss2008 to ss2005

    To complete the picture Uri has already outlined: Mirroring is supported between all version starting from SQL2005 up to SQL2012. But only as long as the mirror is same or newer as the principal...
