quick question...Is it possible: SQL Enterprise Principal with a SQL Std Mirror...
- Hello, all. I was wondering if its possible to have a SQL Enterprise 2005/2008 Principal with a SQL Standard 2005/2008 Mirror. Is this possible? In either scenario both principal and mirror will both be on the same version...2005 or 2008.

- NO. It is not possible to configure db mirroring between different editions of sql server 2005 \ 2008.
Have a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms366349.aspx
Make sure that the two partners, that is the principal server and mirror server, are running the same edition of Microsoft SQL Server . Database mirroring partners are supported only by SQL Server 2005 Standard and later versions . Asynchronous database mirroring (high-performance mode) is supported only by SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition and later versions.
