Principal database is in mirror, synchrozed/ restoring state.

Question

My principal database is in a Mirror, synchronized/restoring state and we cannot use it. How do I bring it back to principal, synchronized?

Hi,

If the original principal is now in the sync/restoring state then at some point there has been a manual or automatic failover and the original mirror has taken on the role of principal.

You can manually failover the database so the original principal becomes the mirror but I would like to know why it failed over. Was there an outage? What is the config of the mirror session are you using high availability mode, etc?
