dbcc checkdb Job fails with "Did not encounter forwarded row. Possible allocation error."

Question

OS: Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 64-bit

SQL Server: 2008 R2 64-bit

dbcc checkdb on a database fails with the following error below:

To fix it, I was wondering if I need to:

1. Bring the database to single user mode

2. Execute dbcc checkdb with REPAIR_ALLOW_DATA_LOSS

3. Bring the database to multiuser mode.

Just checking if I am on the right path.

Hi,

You are on the right track - you do need to be in single_user mode to run the repair.

Does this table have a clustered index?

Have you tried rebuilding the indexes?

Remember that Allow Data Loss does mean you could lose data
