Is there a white paper or procedures on upgrading from a standard edition to enterprise edition of SQL Server 2008? I need to upgrade our development and staging environments from standard to edition to match our future production environment that will use enterprise edition. We are using Windows 2008 running on VM.

Hi,
take a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143393.aspx. As far as I can see an upgrade from SQL Server 2008 Standard to SQL Server 2008 Enterprise shouldn't be a problem as long as the server isn't clustered.
