I'm trying to create a user DSN and only a few of the databases are showing up on the Default Database drop-down. I'm trying to figure out why some are showing up and some aren't. I even gave the specific user a database mapping with extra permissions on the database and still no luck.
I'm assuming there are permissions blocking this some where, but I can't figure out where. How can I figure out what is blocking the database from being listed?

What you can see at the database higher level can be influenced by the VIEW ANY DATABASE permission.
It says in part: To limit visibility to database metadata, deny a login the VIEW ANY DATABASE permission. After this permission is denied, a login can see only metadata for master, tempdb, and databases that the login owns.
See if that permission helps.
