MDAC cannot use

Question

I have a .NET 3.5 applications that references a .dll created using VB6. This VB6 application references the MDAC 2.5 data objects library. Looking at this page: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms810805.aspx, it doesn't look like Windows Server 2008 R2 doesn't even support MDAC 2.5. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

According to http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/ms810810.aspx, MDAC 2.5 (last version to include DAO) hasn't been supported on Windows since Windows 2000.  I think it's time to consider porting the legacy code.
