migrating iis and web app from windows server 2000 to 2008

We've lost the developer and the admin.  Can someone tell me what I need to do migrate the IIS and its app?

I suppose that  is a question best posted to an IIS forum. While doing that, you might want to post some additional information about what you are migrating from and what you are migrating to.
