Question Cluster SQL Server DB datasource config in Websphere 6.1

    We want to config the datasource in WAS 6.1 with a cluster SQL Server DB.

    Open admin console -> Resources -> Data soures

    This is the info we have to set up.
    1. Server name/ip
    2. Instance name
    3. DB name
    4. username
    5. password

    1, 3, 4, 5 has no problems. The problem is how we can config the instance name. We tried to config in custom properties with name "instanceName" but it dones not work.

    Anyone has experience in this? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    If you did not resolve this - let me know what happens when you tried to configure in custom properties? Did it return an error?

    when you tried instance name, please make sure that it is correctly represented if you are using an alias.
