SQL Azure Data Sync Agent not installing

Question

Hi,

 

I’ve been having problems migrating to the new data sync agent. I have uninstalled the old one (CTP2) and now we’re on the “preview” version.

When I use the installer to install the LocalAgentSetup.msi, I get the following error:

 

"Error 1001. Exception occured while initializing the installation: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Azure Data Sync\CTP2\AgentConfig.exe' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

 

I followed the instructions provided on the Wiki article and uninstalled the old sync agent (CTP2). It looks like its still looking for the file from the old agent?

Not sure how to proceed at this point as I don’t know where this file would be.

not sure which version you're trying to install, but have you tried grabbing the latest installer bits at: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=27693 ?
