    Team,

First, I wanted to state that I love Microsoft Solver Foundation. For a .NET developer, this is a fantastic API, and the concept of abstracting away the managed libraries behind a common layer is awesome. Also, the quality of the documentation for this project is very impressive.

Now... what I find highly disappointing is that the last announcement was in May 2012, over half a year ago. Nothing on the blog, no word on the "larger analytics framework that will help users build both prescriptive and predictive analytics" that it's supposed to be integrated into. I just heard back from Gurobi that the MSF doesn't support their latest version, and essentially, that I should use their own solver and forget about MSF.

So my question is this: is there any word on what is happening to the "analytics framework"? What's the path forward?

It really saddens me to see something which is a great framework become a ghost town. It particularly saddens me when, at least from my perspective, a product is 90% there, and then becomes bizarrely abandoned without clear message or guidance.

    Cheers,

    Mathias
