Silverlight 5 launch fails - W7, IE9

Question

Hi

Silverlight installed OK, but whenever I access a web page that requires Silverlight, I get asked to install it.  Re-running the installer advises that I already have it.

Any ideas?

Hi Alan,

are you using Windows 64 Bit or 32 Bit ?

if you are using 32 bit then you have to install 64 bit from below link

I have tried to reproduce your issue locally. However, it works well.

In order to resolve your issue, pleasefollow this thread to see whether the configuration of your computer meet the minimal requirements.  In addition, I find out that some very old AMD processors aren't supported as Silverlight requires the SSE instruction set.  For details, please check the link below: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/silverlightinstall/thread/62ed869a-41f3-4b2c-a812-74f96c2e1ed2//1

If it doesn't work, please try to access the page using another browser and see whether it works.
