Thank you for your help.  I also received this email yesterday and knew it had to be a scam but your threads just confirmed it.

They'll probably use your email address to spam you. Or, if you gave them your credit card number, they'll steal your money.

Naicul, if you notice, the people asking the question are spammers themselves. They are testing the boards for future spam attempts. Hopefully, someone will notice this and remove these posts and ban the losers. Hint: look at all the posts asking "is this a scam". All have only 1 post. or some have zero.

I tried to contact the moderator but he has left Microsoft last year. I guess I dont know who to contact. Anyway, this forum is becoming *** because of these spammers.

I have been receiving similar stuff and the first one I almost bought into. They said it was a Microsoft random e-mail pick drawing and then wanted me to wire (Western Union) $360 to a UK courier service called Elite Courier Service which actually exists but had no knowledge of what I was talking about when I contacted them. These Nigerian scumbags are getting very smart and I hope they all rot. PLEASE, if you are reading this do NOT EVER send these people money.
