I am new to SharePoint and I am having problems getting the default web site to come up.

When I go into IIS and right click on default web site and choose browse and a welcome page comes up.  I then click on My Company's Internal web site and I get the following generic error.

Please advise, and Thank you in advance

This program cannot display the webpage

    Most likely causes:

    • You are not connected to the Internet.
    • The website is encountering problems.
    • There might be a typing error in the address.

    What you can try:

Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected.

    Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

By the way and as information for next time.

This is completely the wrong forum for this kind of question. There is an add-on program for MOSS 2007 called the Knowledge Network. *That* is what this forum is for.

Next time post similar questions to the setup_and_administration (or similar name) forum. I suspect there will be many more people there reading the forum than this one so your chances of getting an answer that helps you will be that much more.
