Cannot set up search schedule since adding a new web app to content sources

Question

I am sure it is something simple that I am forgetting, but since I created a new web app newap.myserver.net and added this as a starting point along with oldap.myserver.net,  I cannot add a search schedule. When I am on the screen that manages schedules and click once a week and Sunday then click ok it get the error Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT:0X80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

If I just start a search it works fine. But I cannot schedule one.

What am I missing?

One more thing and this may be it, the SSP is set up for my extranet zone, but I added this web app from the intranet zone to this SSP. Should it hav eits own? There is already another SSP set up for my regular intranet zone apps.
