The following URL is not valid when publishing an InfoPath 2007 form to MOSS 2007
I just started having issues when publishing an InfoPath 2007 form to a MOSS 2007 site. I get the following error when publishing using the option "To Sharepoint with or without InfoPath Forms Services" in InfoPath:

"The following URL is not valid: http://intranet.thesite"

First of all, the URL does exist and it is valid. I'm able to access this URL through my browser. I'm also able to select the option "To network location" when I publish my form and if I put "http://intranet.thesite/TheLibrary/Document.xsn" as the network path then it works fine.

I went straight to Google and this community and I found a couple solutions. One was to make sure you have a site running at the root, and I do. The second solution was to disable the System Event Notification Service running under Windows. I did this and it didn't work.

I created a new site on the same SharePoint server and called it http://intranet2.thesite. I was able to publish the InfoPath 2007 document just fine. I'm also able to publish the same InfoPath form to other environments and URL's just fine. I just can't seem to publish the InfoPath form to the http://intranet.thesite URL. What gives here?

I'm running Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2005, InfoPath 2007 and MOSS 2007.
© 2009 Microsoft Corporation.
