    Hi All,

My MOSS 2007 is located in the domain, it uses Windows authentication. I added some active domain users in the MOSS web site, the roles of the users are web site members and visitors. The problem is that when I used these users to visit the MOSS site, IE opened a dialog window to prompt me to input user name and password. After I inputed user name and password, IE still opened the dialog to let me re-input. After three times, IE raised an error page to tell me that I don't have permission to view the web site. I'm sure that I inputed right user name and password! The more strange thing is that if I changed the roles of these users to web site owner, these users can visit the web site!

I'm new to MOSS. Please help me in details. Thanks!

    Very Thanks!

    Hello,

Can you confirm that the users' profiles have been created in the Shared Services Provider in Central Administration.  If their profiles are not their, try doing a full profile import.

Also, make sure that the SharePoint site is in your Local Intranet Zone in your Internet Explorer options.

I misunderstood my problem and have created a new post which correctly described my real headache. Thanks for your enthusiasm.
